The Middle School girls’ basketball team is off to a great start this year with a record of 5-0.  The team includes eight girls from sixth, seventh, and eighth grades and is coached by Coach Stauffer.

They have been practicing in the mornings before school in the Pilgrim gym since December, and they hope to end their season with a championship.

Coach Stauffer made the team practice every single day before the season started. At practice they do boxing out drills, sprints,and run designed plays

Coach Stauffer loves the way his team works together and how they move the ball, and he says that the strength of the team is that they are aggressive during games. The team enjoys being around one another and always has fun while playing basketball together.

Olivia B. (8th) has been on the team for two years, and her goal for this year is to make the playoffs.

Ahbai J. (7th) said that she prepared for the season by eating healthier and practicing.

Coach Stauffer would like it if everyone would practice their skills to become the best players they can be. One goal he has for the team is to dribble with their heads up.

“To make the playoffs we have to keep winning and playing our best,” said Ava M. (6th) when asked how they would make the playoffs.

The team so far has clinched a winning season by going undefeated, and they are playing good basketball and executing . Support our girls basketball team by coming to a game and cheering them on.
