Blue Neighborhood is a compilation of amazing songs that share the inside look of writer Troye Sivan’s brain. The deluxe album is made up of fifteen songs that reflect a new point of view on mainstream pop music. The topics of his songs range from heartbreak to love, and other experiences that Sivan makes the listener relate to on a whole new level. Neighborhood is the type of album to listen to no matter what mood you are in. The spectrum of songs will hit you at any mood and at any time. Some of favorite lyrics are “Take me back to the basics and my simple life, tell me all of the things that make you feel at ease.” and  “Without losing a piece of me, how do I get to heaven? Without changing a part of me how do I get to heaven? All my time is wasting feeling my heart’s mistaken so if I’m losing a piece of me maybe I don’t want heaven?”  The featured song YOUTH was awarded ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Award) “Song of the Year” for 2016.   His video for Blue Neighborhood Trilogy was also nominated for an MTV Video Music Award.Recently, Sivan’s success has gotten him amazing opportunities, including guest appearances on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, Ellen, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.  He has also been on the covers of Teen Vogue, Seventeen, and is featured in a print ad campaign for American Eagle.  Anyone who appreciates artists like Lorde, Allie X, Oh Wonder, or The 1975  should be sure to check out Troye Sivan and his album.
